From a traditional ranch style home to neo-craftsman, this whole
house renovation was nothing less than spectacular! To bring the homeowners
vision to life, the LCD Team combined Craftsman style with Modern touches. All
of the materials were thoughtfully selected from the hand-painted tile, iron hardware,
nickel lighting, and unique stone countertops. The focal point in craftsman
design is artisan details with respect to the wood carpentry. These craftsman details
can be seen throughout the house with quarter-sawn oak cabinetry in the kitchen
cabinets, media room bookcases, fireplace mantel, and custom staircase. To see

The exterior façade was transformed using a craftsman style lighting,
woodwork, and color palette.

The
existing kitchen walls were removed to create an open family friendly floorplan.
The focal point of the kitchen is the custom-made iron range hood. Additional elements
include hand-painted tile and countertops in a muted craftsman color palette. The built-in kitchen cabinetry remains true to
the traditional craftsman style and was created with quarter-sawn oak.

The
original bedroom had a standard eight-foot ceiling. Once the ceiling was
removed to open into a cathedral ceiling the hidden structural beams provided
architectural detail to enhance the craftsman style. The bedroom was then finished
with built-in stained bookcases, bed frame and furniture pieces.

After
To enhance
the California indoor-outdoor lifestyle an extraordinary infinity pool and Jacuzzi were added to the landscape. Additionally, a covered patio with
built-in BBQ provides a sheltered location for family dining al fresco. And to
complete the ensemble, everyone enjoys watching the extraordinary LA city
lights while gathered around the fire pit.
